Behind the Ads
Behind the Ads: a reading list

You Can Master Ad Manager and Still Lose. Here's Why.

Ad Manager gives you levers: budget, audiences, creatives. But none of them fix a weak offer, a confusing funnel, or a follow-up sequence nobody opens.

I write about the part that actually decides whether your ads make money.

I've seen the same pattern more times than I can count.

A client comes to me convinced their ads are broken.

The CPM is too high.

The CTR is dropping.

The account must be the problem.

So we open Ads Manager, check the obvious things…

…and the account is fine.

The problem was never the campaign.

It was the offer.

Or the page the ad was sending people to.

Or the emails that never got opened.

Or the fact that new leads waited four days before anyone followed up.

People spend weeks tweaking campaigns that were never going to convert in the first place.

Ad Manager is maybe 30% of the outcome. The other 70%, your positioning, offer, landing page, pricing, messaging, and what happens after the click, is usually decided before the campaign even goes live.

That's the part I care about.

Why I'm qualified to say this

I build funnels and manage ad accounts for businesses in forex, credit repair, cybersecurity, coaching, and other competitive markets.

The platform is the same. The targeting tools are the same. The difference is almost never inside Ads Manager. It's everything around it.

When the offer, funnel, and follow-up are right, running ads becomes dramatically easier.

What you'll get

I don't send newsletters on a schedule. I send them when I have something worth reading. That might be:

A funnel rebuild that turned a "bad" campaign profitable.

An offer change that beat weeks of audience testing.

A landing page tweak that produced a bigger lift than increasing the ad budget.

Positioning lessons from campaigns I'm actively running.

Practical breakdowns you can apply to your own business.

No theory.

No recycled marketing advice.

Just the parts that actually move the numbers.

You'll learn
  • Funnel and offer decisions that make ad spend convert

  • Real breakdowns from campaigns I'm running, not hypothetical examples

  • Pricing, positioning, messaging, and follow-up decisions that determine results before an ad is ever launched
